Hay A Made Marian Short edition by Lucy Lennox Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

  • Have loved everything this author has done. Forever Wilde and Made Marion series are my all time favourite. Writing is exceptional always, and characters are lovable, funny, snarky and sexy. ❤❤👍
  • After struggling with coming out, these two men who admired each other for their sports contributions through the years, become very aware of significant steamy attraction to each other! The greatest part is their strength to show their confidence to the world as they rock each others world! Hot and sexy!
Please know that all of the authors works are worthy and as a reader who reads all of their works, and then rereads them, my praise is sincere!
  • A great treat to see Hay get his own man after having all his latest boyfriends leaving him the same way. And Christian was very much worth the wait!
Loved the mutual attraction between them from the get go and I love a relationship that combines heart with heat and humor.
  • I loved that Christian while insecure himself takes his time assuring Hay that he is all in. They make a great couple.
    Love the Made Marian books.
  • ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ 4-STAR ✩ REVIEW ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩

A well-built man in an open button-down plaid shirt in the hay takes up the majority of the cover. Down below, almost missed, is what appears to be the sidelines of a football field. Title font is strong, author font is not quite as visible.
As a fan of Lennox’s MADE MARIAN series, I was thrilled to see Hay get a story and couldn’t wait to sit down and read it.

    POV ~> Dual first-person
So, technically, this is still part of the Made Marian series, but it felt far removed. Yes, there was a minor mention of Beau but other than that, this was strictly all Hayworth and Christian.
The plot concept was good and given the length, it progressed well and managed to still capture some deeper emotions. Since both men are in the sports world, each has a sense for the other before they meet and were able to form a connection much quicker. Though they had sports similarities, they could not have been much more different if they’d tried. But this is a classic case of opposites attract and Chris and Hay were magnetic.
Conflicts were minimal and handled well. Predictability was low enough. The conclusion was fantastic.
Overall, the story itself can stand alone away from the Made Marian series just fine, thus diehard fans may be a tad disappointed, HOWEVER, Hay is a great short story and very enjoyable on its own.

  • Lucy Lennox gives us a highly entertaining story with everything we like. Christian, with blonde wavy hair is nearly 6'5", 38, a coach now, was a football player, Heisman winner, Super Bowl winner, and recently came out to the world. He runs his Flying L Ranch in Wyoming, which is where Hayward must go for his interview. Hayworth/Hay, 32, city guy from South Carolina - then San Francisco, has styled dark hair, and is a successful sports blogger who is out, too.
Hay arrives at the sprawling ranch, begins the interview, where the conversation flows and time flies. They are totally comfortable and at ease together. Hay gets bundled up for the cold trip to the barn, and then meets the dogs, the pregnant mare, and gets a sexy, melting kiss from Christian. Christian wants Hay, no doubt, so he needs to crack Hay's shell. We find out later what Hay is afraid of. We get deep conversations, humor, comfort, and hot and heavy sexiness. These two are really made for each other on every level. They fit, they trade places, and are perfect in their needs. Full characters with depth that we fall for and we want them to work it out. There's a new colt whose name is awesome, and we get glimpses of what they could have. Chris's ex shows up and riles Hay.
It's a terrific short story with sexy cowboys, hot football players, it's super sexy and completely exciting.
    Highly recommended. ENJOY !

Be sure to read Lucy's forward where she explains her changes from "real" sports.

  • Oh, my. It's so good to be back in touch with a great author who can and does turn out five star books. This was a true winner for me.
Hay is adorable, lovable, cute, sweet, intelligent, hot, clever, industrious and a 100% football loving guy.
Geesh. Hay has admired and hero worshipped Christian Lasley his entire adult life, so it's a wet dream come true that Christian comes out as gay and agrees to allow Hay to interview him for his sports podcast.
Things are so easy for them to fall for each other. Talk is easy. Steamy looks are readily exchanged. They both love football.
I managed to race through this book one afternoon/evening and loved all of it. I'm fairly new to liking football and found the football theme to be a real draw.
Farm life was a big part of Coach Lasley's life and that was endearing to this old farmer.
